    Foot Pain

    Why do my feet hurt?

    Location and Directions

    Major Causes of Foot Pain

When our feet hurt, we hurt all over.
Our feet must last a lifetime, and most Americans log an amazing 75,000 miles on their feet by age 50. Regular foot care can ensure that your feet are up to the task. With proper diagnosis, intervention, and care, most foot and ankle problems can be lessened or prevented.

Trauma, disease and injuries are the most common causes of foot pain. Poor biomechanical alignment and irritation from shoes can also cause pain or discomfort. Shoes that are tied too tightly can cause pain on the top of the foot. High heels can cause pain in the forefoot area.

Pain and tenderness in a specific part of the foot for more than two weeks may indicate a possible problem. Keeping track of when you feel the pain will help us to identify the problem and find a possible solution.
